Of Actually Living in the House We've Owned for Three Months Now

Big news on the house front... Alyssa and I actually LIVE in it now, for the first time in the nearly three months since we bought it. For serious! It's still fairly hazardous to walk around in in some areas, since only about half of our vast troves of malarkey are unpacked and there are still power tools scattered all over the place, but it's really not bad now. The hot water's on now so we can shower, nearly all of the kitchen stuff is put away so we can actually eat food (nice plus, that one is), and so on. Lots of work still to be done. Every day we're discovering more and more "issues" with the house--yesterday, for instance, we realized there's a leak in one of the washing machine valves, and even Calvin with his mighty strength was not able to unscrew the durned thang, so hello to washing our laundry at the in-laws for the next six to eight weeks (funny thing is, I'm actually doing that as I'm writing this--what ARE the chances?).
