Top of the morning...err...afternoon. Actually, since it's only 1:30, it would probably be the bottom of the afternoon... Unless the top is actually EARLIER and the bottom later... Never mind. Not a terribly exciting week, aside from driving to Bountiful on Thursday to attend the wedding luncheon of my old roommate Wes and his new wife Michelle. Go Wes--looks like all your zany girl-meeting schemes (including taking coffee cake to randomly chosen female apartments and holding dance parties in the living room which were, unfortunately, attended mainly by guys) finally paid off. Alyssa and I initially felt fairly awkward at the luncheon since we didn't know a danged person there aside from the newlyweds, but we got to know the people at our table pretty well, including Wes' grandparents and some other extended family. Plus the food was pretty good. And that's always the most important thing in these sitchee-ations.
We didn't spend a great deal of time during the week working on the house, although we tried to get a lot of work in yesterday afternoon. We finished putting the backerboard down in the kitchen and Shawn and Eric started laying down the tile in said room. We conned my brother Nick into coming up from Provo to help (with the promise of food, which he gladly accepted, being the half-starved college student that he is), and that was fun, especially all of the bickerings between him and Tyson. Oh man, those will NEVER get old! Alyssa's family also held a garage sale over the past two days, in which Alyssa and I tried to pawn off all of the junk that the previous owner of the house left there. We actually did better than expected, bringing in probably around $100. Oh man, if only that previous owner could see us now! He would probably be kicking himself in the PATOOTIE.

Well, hopefully it was all good and playful bickering between Nick and Tyson. Otherwise, I might have to get after that husband of mine telling him to play nice with the other kids. He actually told me how much he really liked Nick because he was fun to joke around with. I hope Nick felt the same. haha. Also, the house looks AWESOME so far! Heard you're getting carpet today!!!
