Hiya folks. It's been pretty uppity-downity around here as of late. Halloween wasn't terribly interesting. I pretty much dressed up in the same costume as last year, as a flute-playing minstrel, except this time I had plastic rats tied to my ankle. This was supposed to be a zany scheme to make it appear that they were following me as I played my flute, a la The Pied Piper; unfortunately they didn't stay upright all that well, which sort of ruined the illusion by making me look like the victim of a sick practical joke by a vengeful medical researcher. Alyssa looked ever so loverely as a princess, though. We were supposed to be Robin Hood and Maid Marian, but Alyssa only had time to finish her Maid Marian costume, so we changed our personae a bit. I also wore my zookeeper costume to my Saturday morning geology class; as is usually the case with my sitcom-like life, I was the only person in a class of about 30 who wore their costume, making me feel quite the goober. As far as trick-or-treaters, we bought some scrum-licious caramel apple suckers and Mounds bars, but we probably had fewer than 10 groups show up at the door. More candy for me, I guess. Myeah!
Thursday I went to work on-site at Pearson. T'was good to see all the gang again, not to mention do some actual work for the first time in more than a month. It would be nice if they would actually pay me now. Friday night we went Lazer-tagging. I scored -5 and was ranked 31 out of 31, meaning I was beat out by a bunch of seven-year-olds (quite similar to the last time I played Lazer-Tag, back in maybe 2002). Whoopee. As if that were bad enough, before we played Lazer-Tag we went to Ross and Alyssa left her purse in the dressing room. We quickly realized she didn't have it right after we left, but by the time she returned to pick it up, her cash and cell phone had been stolen. So until further notice, there's one cell phone between the two of us. And that's the end of that chapter.
