Of Radioactive Rock Samples, Soup Parties, The Re-Gift Pile, and Death to Nemo

Ahoy thar, me mutinous swabs. It's been quite the up-and-down week, with birthday parties on Monday and Friday as well as a ridiculously easy geology test yesterday that I finished in 20 minutes and somehow got a C- on. Yeah, I'm still trying to figure that one out. Must have something to do with my teacher sniffing too many radioactive rock samples. (When in doubt, blame the teacher. That's the Green Family Motto.) Maybe I'll confront him about it tomorrow on the bus, and maybe even threaten to steal his lunch money while I'm at it (he's at least five years younger than me). As for the B-day parties, we celebrated Trey-Lor's on Monday and Julie's on Friday. At Julie's party, we snorked down four different kinds of soup and played "Let's Make a Deal" and Bingo. I won some hot chocolate and a Salt City candle; Alyssa, for her pain, won a pair of "Mop Slippers," which she promptly placed in our ever-growing "Re-Gift Pile" when we got home. Way to fight the system, baby. Oh, and last night Shawn and I babysitted Brayden, McKell, and Trey, which was oodles of fun, especially when McKell and Trey were fighting over a stuffed Nemo fish and wound up tearing it open and getting the little plastic pellets all over the place, including in their hair. Ah, to be young again and have that kind of Break Things and Not Get in Trouble power.

So that's pretty much it. I said in my last post that I would pos
t a few pictures from my field trip to Capitol Reef, so here are some, as well as one from Trey's birthday party.
