Of the Famousness of Dave, the Swinginess of Tarzan, the Yappiness of Various Dogs, and the Kicky-ness of Maid Marian

Buenas noches. We just got back from Famous Dave's, having stuffed our l'il selves to the gills with all manner of calorific, sauce-drenched malarkey. The reason for this visit was that Alyssa's mom and I both recently had birthdays, and if you sign up to be on Famous Dave's mailing list, they send you a coupon for a surprise freebie on your birthday. So we decided to hit them with the old double whammy, and our freebies turned out to be a free appetizer (grande nachos) and a free dessert (bread pudding). That in itself would have been plenty for the four of us (me, Alyssa, and her parents), but we all ordered regular meals as well, which, if you've been to Famous Dave's, are big enough to feed a small whiny child for at least two weeks. So yeah, we're both hurting. Although we thought it would be funny to just go in there, get the appetizer and dessert (and maybe some water on the side) and leave without paying a cent. Oh MAN, that would be Ben Gold. Tip? Forget about it!

The last few weeks haven't been terribly exciting for the most part, aside from going to St. George for my birthday. We saw Tarzan at Tuacahn (plenty of bungee-related mayhem, I tell you what), went on a nature walk, went out to eat at Pirate Island with my fam (wherein Alyssa and I stormed the arcade and won two SKULL AND CROSSBONES PENCILS for our pains), and visited Paul, Danielle, Grace, and their plethora of chickens. And, as usual, there was plenty of Wii playing and getting mauled by various dogs. Yeah. As if Emmett weren't enough, now Holden and Emily have two dogs of their own that they regularly bring to my parents' house (including a new one that looks like a bat). And when those three get together, whoo Nelly. It's like a tornado of fur and dog spittle. But they're a lovable bunch.

Not much else going on, except that Alyssa and I signed up for Netflix last month, and we've been ordering all the episodes of the BBC "Robin Hood" that aired a few years ago. Oh, man. They ROCK. You haven't seen anything until you've seen Maid Marian cartwheel all over the place like Wonder Woman and kick the Sheriff's men's keeshters.

I've been thinking about you guys and especially when I made a pizza the other night. It was so delicious, so I must thank my wonderful teachers, Mr. & Mrs. Green for such great instruction.
Hopefully you folks are doing fantabulous!
Justin got a good job at the prison south of Boise. We are absolutely thrilled. Just wanted to let you know.

I think Alyssa was the one providing the great instruction--I mostly just ate said pizza. (Although I think I might have opened a can or something last time.) But congrats to Justin on the prison job. What is he, a warden or something? "Hey! It's after ten! Lights out, you maggots!" Yeah, he'd be great at that. :) Good to hear from you!
